depends. Are you in control of the boat into the wind currents r? Or do you just want to have only a little movement and control in calm weather. more control / movement, more thrust. little control, Push-stroke engine = low.
Get the biggest you can get atleast 70 pounds buoyancy
Well, I have a ship of 12 meters and is my 45 # thrust and pushes me well
